Job Description
Sodexo seeks a full‑time Registered Dietitian to join the dynamic team at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) located in Galveston, TX. UTMB Health operates across four campuses in Galveston, League City, Clear Lake, and Angleton, totaling 800 licensed beds and encompassing a Level 1 Trauma Center, Pediatric Specialty services, a certified comprehensive Stroke Center, and more.
What You'll Do
Perform nutrition‑focused physical exams, provide nutrition support recommendations, and offer nutrition education as needed.
Monitor and evaluate patient care outcomes continuously.
Participate in departmental, clinical, and other meetings related to areas of practice.
Support the Clinical Nutrition Manager in program development through project work.
Utilize electronic medical records, including familiarity with the Nutrition Care Process & Model and Epic Electronic System (preferred).

Registered Dietitian licensed in Texas.
Experience: Minimum 3 years as a specialized practitioner in a clinical specialty.
Management experience: 7+ months of general supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum education: Master’s degree with required coursework and supervised practice as per the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND). Candidates eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24 may submit a Bachelor’s degree with required coursework and supervised practice.
Eligible for the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
Certification/licensure as required by the state(s) of practice; state licensure required at the time of hire in some states.
