Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs.
Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
Operate specialized equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices.
Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Physical therapy experience; new graduates welcome.
Other certifications or licenses may be required.
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication.
Ability to read/write and communicate in English.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills.
Physical abilities: remain stationary, move about, lift equipment (50‑100lbs), push, pull, bend.
Interpersonal skills: work effectively with diverse personnel; maintain positive attitude and professionalism.
Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, assist with equipment.
Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work with minimal supervision, handle irregular schedules.
Sensory: possess visual acuity and effective communication.
