About the Role
The Clinician II provides a range of clinically indicated services including individual psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and case management for individuals of all ages with behavioral health conditions. This role focuses on assessing client needs and partnering with clients to develop individualized care plans that promote recovery and long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities
Complete accurate charting, coding, and billing per regulatory requirements.
Document services in the medical record within required timelines.
Meet service hour and response time expectations.
Conduct client assessments using DSM and other required standards.
Manage a caseload and provide ongoing treatment.
Develop treatment plans and evaluate client progress.
Assess risk and develop safety plans for clients.
Provide individual and group therapy using Evidence-Based Practices when possible.
Monitor compliance with court orders when applicable.
Collaborate with psychiatric providers, emergency services, and care teams.
Coordinate services with community agencies and natural supports.
Make referrals for additional services (e.g., substance use treatment).
Participate in supervision, meetings, and required trainings.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional/ethical standards.
Support diversity, equity, and multicultural competency.
What You Bring
Education / Experience / Certifications
MA/MS/MSW in a Behavioral Science related field.
MHP qualification preferred.
Experience with Evidence-Based Practices or ability to learn.
Agency Affiliated Counselor application required if not licensed (DOH).
Valid Washington State Driver's License and insurance (if applicable).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to work with individuals with complex, multi-system needs.
Strong problem-solving and solution-focused approach.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with electronic medical records.
Ability to pass pre-employment background check (including DSHS if applicable).
