Job Overview
1515 Surf Apartments is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team. The Service Technician is responsible for performing various maintenance functions necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community.
Responsibilities
Inspect property and report any safety hazards or needed repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Assist with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, freezing temperatures, snow removal, and other emergencies.
Accompany vendors in occupied units for services such as pest control, property inspections, and other maintenance tasks.
Assist office staff with delivery of resident notices.
Perform plumbing, electrical, lock repair, smoke alarm replacement, appliance repairs, roofing inspection/minor roof repairs, and HVAC repairs.
Work during inclement weather and be available for night/weekend call duty and after‑hours emergencies.
Lifting 25–100 lbs regularly and working outdoors as required.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
1 to 3 years’ experience in community management.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, elevators, and energy management systems.
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience using Yardi or other property management software.
Must be able to lift 25–100 lbs on a regular basis.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Available for after‑hours emergencies, night/weekend call duty, and inclement weather.
Plumbing and electrical skills are required.
Active HVAC certification and experience required for HVAC repairs.
Willingness to work weekends.
