Job Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, and administering patient care within the scope of your training and expertise, collaborating with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. This is done in conjunction with the objectives and policies of the hospital and the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Tennessee.

Hours of Position
Full‑time (36 hours per week), nights (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.

Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient’s care and management to determine nursing diagnosis.

Continually utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress towards goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes.

Employ strategies to promote health and a safe, healthy environment.

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Technical Capabilities

Patient assessment and evaluation home care (novice): Proficiency in assessing and evaluating patients in moderate difficulty home settings, conducting primary care interviews, assessing home safety, and performing comprehensive physical examinations.

Patient education (novice): Proficiency in providing patient education in practical moderate‑difficulty applications.

Care planning (novice): Ability to anticipate resource needs, identify distinct tasks, set priorities, schedule activities, meet deadlines, and organize work within areas of responsibility.

Evidence‑based nutrition practice (novice): Ability to search for nutrition evidence to answer clinical questions, generally working under direction of others.

Execute job responsibilities with an understanding of their impact on related areas, solve moderately complex problems using technical experience and judgment, expand knowledge through professional experience, and provide informal guidance and support to team members.

Position Qualifications
Work Experience: Relevant experience in nursing, less than 1 year.

Education: Graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.

Certifications
Licensed Registered Nurse (LIC). Other relevant licensure as required.
