What We're Looking For
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Finance Intern to support our finance team in enhancing reporting, analytics, and automation capabilities. This role will play a key part in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and improving existing Excel-based reporting tools to drive better business insights and decision‑making.
Reporting & Analytics
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards, including data modeling, DAX measures, and visual layout.
Update and streamline existing financial reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readability.
Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and ad hoc reporting needs.
Excel Automation & Process Improvement
Enhance and automate current Excel‑based financial models, including use of formulas, Power Query, and macros (if applicable).
Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort across reporting cycles.
Document new and improved processes for repeatability.
Data Management
Assist with data cleaning, validation, and reconciliation for reporting datasets.
Work closely with finance team members to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Collaboration & Learning
Partner with Client and Solution Centers to gather requirements and refine dashboards or reports.
Learn and apply best practices in data visualization, automation, and financial analytics.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process optimization.
Education & Experience Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas; Power Query is a plus).
Basic familiarity with Power BI (or willingness to learn quickly).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Power BI: data modeling, DAX, or dashboard creation.
Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Power Query, VBA/macros, Power Automate).
Understanding of basic financial statements and corporate finance concepts.
Comfort working with large datasets.
