How you’ll make an impact in this role
Deliver high-quality, specialized care to patients emerging from anesthesia, expertly monitoring vital signs and managing post‑operative pain to ensure a safe and smooth recovery.
Maintain a meticulous sterile and safe clinical environment, strictly adhering to all relevant professional standards (e.g., AORN/ASPAN) to prevent infection and promote optimal healing.
Assess and interpret critical patient responses to treatments and interventions, proactively identifying and addressing subtle changes in condition to mitigate complications.
Anticipate patient‑specific needs and potential risks with in‑depth knowledge of surgical procedures and underlying health conditions, preparing necessary resources to ensure continuous, uninterrupted care.
What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi‑state/Compact State.
One or more of the following required:
Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.
What Additional Preferences We're Seeking
Working in the PACU or with phase 2 or preop cases.
At least 1 year PACU experience & preop op/post op experience preferred.
Will consider ICU or ED experience.
