Testarossa Winery is renowned for our exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with over 1,900 wines earning outstanding scores of 90+ points. We are passionate about crafting and sharing the finest wines and memorable winery experiences. We are seeking a charismatic and knowledgeable Wine Educator to inspire our guests through engaging storytelling, expert tastings, and personalized experiences that foster brand loyalty and drive sales.
What you will get to do
Education
As a wine educator, you will design and deliver outstanding wine education experiences that build knowledge, confidence and enjoyment of wine for diverse audiences. You’ll bring the history, taste, smell, and everything in between to life as you engage with our guests in a small or large group setting. Being the narrator, you will share your knowledge and experience to guide those who are attending specialty tastings including Testarossa University, Reserve Library Tastings and more! Working at our historic winery part-time (most regularly Saturdays/Sundays), the day-to-day may include the following:
Assist in creating a specialty tasting schedule that interests club and non-club members.
Develop concise, visually driven and interactive power point presentations and additional course materials.
Lead engaging and informative specialty wine tastings highlighting the winery's heritage, wine portfolio, unique qualities of our wines and production processes.
Create guest experiences that promote new wine club memberships.
Educate guests on wine and food pairings, enhancing their appreciation and understanding of our wines.
Drive sales of wine through compelling storytelling and personalized recommendations.
Foster a welcoming, professional, and fun atmosphere that encourages guest interaction and brand loyalty.
Collaborate with the hospitality and marketing team to ensure seamless guest experiences and uphold the winery’s reputation for excellence.
Set up and break down the space, managing reservations, and other procedures to ensure success from start to finish.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Wine certification preferred (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or other relevant certification)
3+ years of experience in wine education or sales
Expert wine knowledge with great sensory and tasting skills
Ability to engage a group and foster relationships with guests resulting in sales of wine and new club memberships
Strong ability to present products, up sell & cross sell
Superb public speaking and communication skills
Charismatic personality with the ability to use storytelling to facilitate engaging and memorable guest experiences
Strong computer/IT knowledge, skills, and abilities including Microsoft Office, specifically Power Point, POS systems and other IT equipment (TVs, projectors, audio equipment, etc.).
Ability to craft accurate and professional presentations using best practices for audience engagement
Professional appearance
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Saturday and Sunday availability required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs frequently (cases of wine, tables, chairs, etc.)
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to walk and climb stairs (winery tours)
Repetitive motions include that of opening, pouring, and serving wine (reach, grasp, pour, open) and those associated with general administrative tasks (use of computer, projector, etc.)
