Overview
Position Title: Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Summary
Auburn Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
to join our skilled therapy team. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders, helping them achieve greater independence and quality of life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive, or swallowing impairments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide direct therapy services in accordance with each resident’s care plan and physician orders.
Assess resident progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and dietary staff to support residents with communication or swallowing needs.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers about communication strategies and compensatory techniques.
Document therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment summaries in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge planning processes.
Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe, supportive environment for residents.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Current, valid Kentucky license in Speech Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Compassionate, dependable, and dedicated to improving residents’ quality of life.
Preferred:
Experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting.
