Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented
Credit & Collections Specialist
to support our credit department by performing a wide range of credit, collections, and customer service functions. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external customers.
Responsibilities
Process and solicit customer credit applications, including investigations and follow‑up inquiries.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date credit and customer account files.
Make collection calls and follow established collection procedures.
File liens when required, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
Provide professional customer service over the phone and in person.
Process credit adjustments and ensure all required paperwork is complete and accurate.
Support the credit department with additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Qualifications

Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
2–3 years of business collections experience preferred.
Experience in a related accounting, finance, or credit role is a plus.
Core Skills & Abilities
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and comprehend business correspondence and instructions.
Ability to present information clearly in one‑on‑one or small‑group settings.
Solid math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Strong reasoning skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Computer proficiency, including accurate keyboarding and basic database software knowledge.
