Job Description
Litigation support paralegal whose responsibilities include the collection, review and summarization of medical records of injured persons seeking compensation for insurance company clients of the Firm; preparation of pleadings, motions and orders in both general civil litigation and litigation in children’s law cases; manage case files and litigation documents in both general civil litigation and litigation in children’s law cases; preparation of communications with clients; office meetings with clients; secretarial support; daily entry of billable time per client file; potential office administrative duties; daily attendance at firm’s office.
Responsibilities
Collect, review, and summarize medical records of injured persons seeking compensation for insurance company clients of the Firm.
Prepare pleadings, motions, and orders in general civil litigation and in children’s law cases.
Manage case files and litigation documents in general civil litigation and in children’s law cases.
Prepare communications with clients; conduct office meetings with clients; provide secretarial support.
Daily entry of billable time per client file; perform potential office administrative duties; attend the firm’s office daily.
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate from an acceptable school or training center
3-5 years of paralegal experience in litigation matters, preferably with a law firm
Strong work ethic
Strong communication skills
Strong computer skills
Candidate must have own transportation to the firm’s office (parking is free in the building lot).
Benefits
Full-time hourly rate range of $25-$32 based upon experience.
Year-end bonus possible depending upon revenue generated per firm’s scale.
