Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic III position involves supporting the department’s mission and policies by performing duties related to the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment. This role requires minimal supervision and involves working on production operations and facilities systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
Responsibilities
Lead the diagnosing and repair of all assigned department equipment with minimal supervision.
Implement and exercise independent judgment within established guidelines for preventive maintenance and determining actions required for production or safety issues.
Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment functionality.
Troubleshoot furnace operations using Siemens PLC.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience or equivalent technical training in maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, vacuum, or mechanical systems.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing semi or fully automated equipment.
Proficiency in English communication, both written and oral.
Ability to analyze, interpret, and solve problems with mechanical and electrical equipment.
Knowledge and experience with Siemens PLC hardware and software.
Skillful use of a digital multimeter for troubleshooting.
Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing tasks and duties.
Technical training or coursework in industrial equipment engineering and troubleshooting is highly desired.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Equivalent combination of education, experience, and knowledge may be substituted for up to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Level II requires a minimum of four years of work experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
Level III requires 7 years of advancing technical experience in mechanics or electrics/controls/electronics/automation.

Work Environment
The work is conducted in an industrial manufacturing plant setting. The training schedule is on a swing shift from Monday to Friday, 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The permanent schedule is a graveyard shift from Monday to Friday, 7:30 pm to 4:00 am, ending Saturday morning. The facility is ITAR compliant, requiring proof of US citizenship or permanent residency.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 – $35.00/hr.
