Functional Transformation DME is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our growing team. This is a full-time, in-office position focused on supporting patients through the intake and order process while ensuring a high level of service and compliance.
The Customer Service Representative plays a critical role in patient care coordination, serving as the first point of contact for incoming calls and new orders. This role supports intake, insurance verification, patient communication, and order fulfillment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Answer incoming calls and assist patients, referral sources, and providers professionally and efficiently
Perform intake processing for new DME orders
Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility
Clearly communicate patient financial responsibility (copays, deductibles, etc.)
Coordinate and schedule order delivery and setup
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation in patient records
Collaborate with billing, clinical, and management teams to ensure timely service
Follow all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and DMEPOS compliance standards
Qualifications
Prior experience in DME, healthcare, medical office, or customer service preferred
Strong understanding of insurance verification and patient intake processes (Medicare/Medicaid knowledge a plus)
Excellent communication and phone skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computers and EMR/billing systems
