Our client is currently seeking a qualified
Powershell Scripter
to join their team
remotely
and provide end-user support. This role is responsible for developing automation scripts and security workflows using Microsoft PowerShell to identify, report, and remediate system vulnerabilities. The role supports cybersecurity operations by integrating scripting with vulnerability scanning and patch management tools.
This role will work
EST
hours and is preferably located in Atlanta, GA; Charlotte / Raleigh NC.
Duties and Responsibilities
:
Integrate security tools with automation frameworks to streamline vulnerability management
Analyze vulnerability reports from tools such as Tenable Nessus, Qualys VMDR, and Rapid7 InsightVM
Automate patch deployment and compliance checks across systems
Create scripts to collect system data, logs, and security metrics
Assist in remediation of vulnerabilities on Windows Server and endpoint systems
Develop reporting and dashboards for vulnerability status
Support security audits and compliance requirements
Work with IT and security teams to improve remediation workflows
Skills and Qualifications
:
Minimum 3 to 4+ years of experience
Scripting professional with Sysprep (systems preparation) experience capable of creating SCCM Task Sequencing for Image delivery
Experienced with validation scripts written in PowerShell to perform customizations and validate settings or app installs
Experience with Windows Servers and troubleshooting with server performance
Experience supporting an enterprise SCCM environment with enterprise endpoints
Experience in Citrix virtual environments hosted with VMWare or Nutanix
Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting, Windows system administration, and vulnerability management, with experience automating security tasks and integrating vulnerability scanners into operational workflows
Must be self motivated; will seek out issues to remediate without instruction
Strong communication skills
Technical background in vulnerability / Powershell
Must be detail-oriented
Must be proactive in identifying and remediating system vulnerabilities, and skilled at creating automated solutions that improve security compliance and efficiency
Wage Range
:
The rate for this position is between
$35.25 - $47.00 per hour
, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
