Responsibilities
General Maintenance & Repairs – Perform repairs, including plaster/sheetrock/drywall, carpentry, painting, interior/exterior doors, plumbing (unblocking sinks/toilets, repairing leaks), and basic electrical repairs.
Organization – Ensure proper use and storage of tools.
Installation & Assembly – Replace light bulbs, ballasts, fixtures, and emergency lighting systems; install bulletin boards, pictures, and signage.
Furniture & Ceilings – Assist with moving furniture, replacing ceiling tiles, and cleaning up after your assigned work.
Emergency Support – Maintain inventory of tools and equipment, respond to after-hours emergency calls, and travel to regional locations as needed.
Administrative Duties – Complete work logs, work order status forms, and time sheets.
Communication – Be able to communicate with the Regional Director of Facilities on work requests.
Customer Service – Be able to work around kids and staff with a level of customer service to best represent the schools.
Other Duties – Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum one year of experience in general repair services
Must have a valid driver's license
Basic knowledge of drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
