Overview

CG Infinity is seeking a highly skilled Principal Technology Consultant to join our team in Plano, TX. This senior-level role blends deep technical expertise with strong business consulting and pre-sales capabilities. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technologist who can design modern enterprise solutions and effectively communicate value to executives, business stakeholders, and prospective clients.

As a Principal Technology Consultant, you will lead complex technology initiatives across application development, infrastructure, Salesforce, AWS, and cloud architecture. You will also play a key role in pre-sales activities, proposal creation, solution scoping, and building long-term client relationships.

Technical Leadership

  • Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade applications, integrations, cloud solutions, and infrastructure modernizations
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance across one or more domains:
    • Application development (full-stack or backend)
    • Infrastructure and DevOps engineering
    • Salesforce solution architecture
    • Cloud architecture, Cloud-native modernization, security, containerization, serverless architectures, and best practices.
  • Conduct technical assessments, define solution patterns, and set best practices for teams and clients
  • Review technical deliverables for quality, scalability, and alignment with client objectives

Client Engagement & Consulting

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, helping translate business needs into technical strategies and actionable roadmaps
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and requirement-gathering conversations with business and technical stakeholders
  • Present complex technical concepts in clear, business-friendly terms
  • Foster strong client relationships, helping grow engagements and demonstrate CG Infinity’s value

Pre‑Sales & Business Development

  • Partner with sales and executive leadership to support revenue growth
  • Lead technical pre-sales activities, including:
    • Solutioning and shaping scope
    • Writing proposals, SOWs, and level-of-effort estimates
    • Participating in and leading client presentations
    • Evaluating client requirements and proposing tailored solutions
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through technology roadmaps and value-driven recommendations

Leadership & Delivery Oversight

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring technical alignment and delivery excellence
  • Mentor consultants, developers, architects, and cross-functional teams
  • Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and modern technology adoption
  • Support internal practice development, including knowledge sharing, accelerators, and reusable assets

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technology consulting, software engineering, cloud architecture, or related technical roles
  • Expertise in one or more of the following:
    • Application development (Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar)
    • Infrastructure engineering or DevOps
    • Salesforce architecture (Sales, Service, Marketing Cloud, etc.)
    • AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud services, architecture, and design patterns
  • Proven experience in client-facing roles with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical design sessions, define architecture, and guide teams
  • Experience participating in pre-sales, writing proposals, or scoping technology engagements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Consulting experience within enterprise environments
  • Experience with integrations, APIs, data engineering, microservices, and security best practices
  • Ability to influence technical and business stakeholders at all levels
  • Nice to have certifications:
    • Cloud Solutions Architect level certification
    • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or similar
    • PMP, SAFe, or Agile certifications
