Position Summary
The Manager, Accounts Receivable is responsible for the oversight, governance, and execution of complex credit, write‑off, and unbilled accounts receivable activities across ACA. This role provides both strategic oversight and hands‑on review of high‑risk, high‑impact AR items while ensuring compliance with ACA policies, approval thresholds, and internal controls. This position manages a global team of six direct reports and partners closely with Revenue, Billing, Order Management, Customer Service Managers and Finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely AR resolution.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of credits, write‑offs, and unbilled AR activities
Review and approve complex, high‑dollar, or non‑standard credit and write‑off requests
Ensure credits and write‑offs are appropriately supported by contractual and billing analysis
Lead unbilled AR research efforts and drive resolution in partnership with Billing and Revenue teams
Ensure timely conversion of unbilled AR to invoiced AR or proper disposition of non‑billable balances
Manage and coach 6 direct reports
Provide performance management, workload oversight, and quality review across global teams
Ensure accurate processing and documentation within Deltek, Salesforce, and Zendesk
Support SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requests
Identify recurring issues and implement process improvements across AR
Education, Experience, and Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Seven (7) or more years of progressive Accounts Receivable or finance operations experience
Experience managing credits, write‑offs, and complex AR research activities
Prior people management experience including offshore team leadership
Strong understanding of contracts, billing structures, and AR accounting principles
Experience with Deltek, Salesforce, and Zendesk or comparable systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail‑oriented with a strong compliance and control mindset
Supervisory Responsibility
Yes. Responsible for managing a global team of six.
