
Staff Accountant

We are searching for a Staff Accountant to provide onsite support for a hospitality company with multiple locations. This position is contract-to-hire and pays $28 to $32 per hour.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly financial statements and support period-end close for multiple locations.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate balance sheet support and documentation.
Coordinate and support internal and external financial and gaming-related audits.
Reconcile bank accounts and review daily revenue and audit reports.
Collaborate with accounting leadership to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, and asset protection standards.
Maintain accurate financial records and support record retention requirements.
Provide backup support for accounts payable, payroll, and audit functions as needed.
Apply knowledge of gaming, state, and local tax considerations in financial reporting.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
3+ years of general ledger accounting experience, preferably supporting multiple entities or locations.
Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and month-end close processes.
Experience reconciling complex balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
Working knowledge of internal controls, audits, and compliance in a regulated environment.
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; ERP experience preferred.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently in an onsite environment and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with accounting and operations stakeholders.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Card.
