The Role
We are looking for a creative, driven, and highly organized

Social Media & Marketing Intern

to join our team for a short-term assignment. In this role, you will take the reins as the voice of Canopy Mortgage across our primary social channels, with a strong focus on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

Your ultimate goal? To amplify our brand awareness, showcase our unique company culture to recruit top-tier Loan Officers, and drive a special lead-generation project for our consumer direct team.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management:

Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for Canopy Mortgage’s Instagram and LinkedIn profiles.

Brand Awareness & Recruitment:

Design posts, stories, and campaigns specifically targeted at highlighting our value proposition to attract and recruit high-performing Loan Officers to the Canopy team.

Community Engagement:

Monitor our social channels, respond to comments and messages, and actively engage with industry professionals to build our online community.

Special Lead-Gen Project:

Spearhead a dedicated marketing initiative to generate consumer leads for

Box Home Loans , our consumer direct division.

Analytics & Reporting:

Track basic social media metrics to see what content is performing best and adjust strategies accordingly.

What We’re Looking For

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Strong understanding of Instagram and LinkedIn, including current trends, algorithms, and best practices for business accounts.

Excellent written communication and copywriting skills (you know how to write a hook that gets people reading!).

Basic graphic design or video editing skills (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut is a huge plus).

A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and manage projects from start to finish.

Previous experience or interest in the real estate, mortgage, or finance industry is a bonus, but not required.

Real-World Experience:

This isn’t a coffee-fetching internship. You will be actively managing live campaigns and building a portfolio of high-impact work.

Mentorship:

Work directly with our marketing and leadership teams to gain hands-on experience in corporate social media, B2B recruiting, and B2C lead generation.
