We are seeking a motivated and community-focused
Carer Recruitment & Development Worker
to join our team based in
Grafton .
This role plays a key part in recruiting, assessing, and supporting carers to provide safe, nurturing homes for children and young people. This is a
4-day-per-week role
offering flexibility, training, and a mix of office, community, and home-based work.
About the role
Based in the
Grafton office , you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carer recruitment and development activities, working closely with carers, applicants and internal teams.
Responsibilities
Completing
carer assessments, reviews, and information exchange sessions
Supporting
recruitment activities , including community events and occasional weekend engagement
Maintaining accurate records and assessment documentation
Working in collaboration with colleagues to support carer development and retention
Working within trauma-informed and culturally safe practice frameworks

About you
Experience in
community services, OOHC, foster/kinship care or similar with transferable skills considered
Strong written skills for completing assessments and reports
Confidence in engaging with carers and community stakeholders
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A current
driver’s licence
and willingness to travel locally
Relevant qualifications and experience will be recognised in line with
SCHADS Level 5 .
