We are currently seeking a Full-Time Property Accountant!
Property Accountant applies cash and accrual accounting principles to prepare, review, maintain and deliver financial records using applicable software. This role will also review accounts payable and receivables and assist in budgeted and forecasting, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all accounting and timely financial reporting for assigned properties ensuring general ledger, taxes and other financial information is correct and up to date.
Close month end accounting entries and reconcile balance sheets & profit and loss statements.
Maintain general ledger and organize month-end close process, including prepare and review journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation.
Maintain working knowledge of mortgage/escrow and draw agreements as well as management agreements.
Verify escrow taxes, insurance, and process client’s monthly mortgage and distributions.
Review and approve payables, deposits, and accounts receivable transactions.
Follow company standards and rules when maintaining financial records.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Assist with annual client audits.
Communicate explanations on balance sheet items with clients.
Assist operations with AP processes and questions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Knowledge of Yardi, AppFolio, Entrata or CYMA is a plus.

Previous experience in real estate/property management accounting is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external points of contact.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and basic supervisory skills.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mind.
Strong attention to detail and adept in mathematics.
Compensation
Full‑Time $52,000.00 to $59,000.00 per year
