Our client, a global leader in the ingredients manufacturing space, is seeking a

(Sr.)

R&D Scientist

to join the R&D team. This role focuses on

new product development for dairy and dairy‑adjacent applications , supporting formulation work from concept through commercialization, including pilot plant and scale‑up activities. The position emphasizes protein systems and thermal processing, with flexibility in title and level based on experience (from Associate Scientist to Senoir Scientist).
Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize formulations for dairy and dairy‑adjacent products
Execute bench‑top and pilot plant trials for new product development
Work with high‑protein systems, stabilizers, buffers, and flavors
Evaluate the impact of thermal and aseptic processing on product performance
Troubleshoot formulation and processing challenges
Analyze data and document technical findings
Collaborate cross‑functionally to support commercialization efforts
Support internal and external customer projects from concept development through commercialization and troubleshooting
Lead technical workstreams and manage project timelines to meet customer and business objectives
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science or a related discipline
3‑years of experience in dairy or dairy‑focused R&D
Hands‑on experience with dairy formulations and protein systems
Understanding of thermal processing, including aseptic applications
Comfort working hands‑on in lab and pilot plant environments, including sensory evaluation
Strong formulation, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to manage multiple development projects simultaneously
