About Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital
Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, not far from the Kentucky border, Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient programming for adults of all genders who have been struggling with mental health disorders. Our facility in southwestern Ohio also serves adults who have a primary diagnosis of a mental health disorder and a co‑occurring substance use disorder. Each person who receives care at Glenwood Behavioral Health Hospital follows a personalized treatment plan that reflects their unique needs, with the goal of empowering them to achieve and maintain the highest level of functioning. All services at our center are provided by an interdisciplinary team of experienced professionals within a safe, structured, and highly supportive environment.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or another therapeutic field.
Four or more years’ experience as a therapist with at least two years’ experience with the specific population of this facility.
Licenses / Designations / Certifications
State or national licensure for professional therapy providers.
CPR and de‑escalation/restraint certification; training available upon hire.
First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
Essential Functions
Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions in the delivery of services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating diagnosed emotional and mental disorders.
Conduct individual, group, or family therapy as appropriate for the patient’s treatment plan.
Conduct a psychosocial assessment and develop an initial discharge plan.
Provide initial treatment planning for patients based on assessment and coordinate additional services as needed, revising as necessary.
Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards.
Maintain a caseload as assigned.
Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for the patient as appropriate.
Provide case management, discharge planning, or after‑care planning according to the treatment plan.
Assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
Coordinate various clinical, psychosocial or educational activities with patients and their families.
Evaluate patient’s needs and determine if referrals to other programs or facilities are required.
Assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always; acknowledge and resolve complaints when needed; prioritize patient safety.
Other Functions
Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
$28‑30 an hour
