Overview
Seeking an experienced
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
for a
full-time position (40 hours/week) .
Schedule is Monday - Friday . A great opportunity to provide quality patient care and advance within an established provider of employer-based onsite primary care.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients, guide them through the registration process, and ensure a smooth check-in experience.
Manage communications: answer phones, respond to emails and electronic faxes, scan and share documents, and complete daily patient callbacks.
Coordinate scheduling for patients and handle medically related inquiries and calls with professionalism and empathy.
Support mid-level providers during patient encounters, including taking vitals, collecting history, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with exams as directed.
Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies are stocked and ready for patient visits.
Administer injections and perform venipuncture for diagnostic testing in accordance with clinical guidelines.
Compile and document lab and radiology results in the electronic medical record (EMR) with accuracy and timeliness.
Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment.
Qualifications
Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting program
Current CMA certification
Current BLS/CPR certification
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; primary care experience preferred
Excellent customer service and patient interaction skills
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and procedures
Proficient in phlebotomy and administration of injections
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software
Strong communication and teamwork skills; reliable and professional demeanor
