A vacancy exists for a Health & Physical Education Teacher within the Division of Student Services of the CCIU. This position will be located at the Child & Career Development Center- Great Valley Campus in Malvern, PA.

Summary
This position will involve teaching health classes and developing a physical education program for students with varying physical, cognitive, emotional and behavior challenges, aged K - 22 years. The successful candidate should have proven experience in creating a program which motivates student participation as well as commitment to wellness.
Duties And Responsibilities
Design and direct adaptive physical education classes.
Identify and assess needs of each student.
Evaluate students\' growth through review on a consistent basis.
Provide instruction that is congruent with goals and objectives listed on IEP.
Ensure the health, safety and general well being of the students.
Function as a member of the IEP team, addressing needs of students.
Prepare report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other documentation as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor\'s Degree in Education required
Minor in Special Education OR minimum of 5 years experience working with special education students preferred
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level and/or subject preferred
Experience working with children and adolescents with severe and complex behavior challenges in school, community, or residential setting preferred
Professional Certifications
Valid PA Instructional Certificate in Health and Physical Education PK-12 required
Schedule
7.5 hours a day; 190 days per year (194 year one; 191 year two)
Salary (2026 - 2027 School-Year)
Instructional I: $62,155 - $89,730/yr
Instructional II: $64,834 - $93,324/yr
Master\'s Degree: $69,353 - $101,911/yr
Master\'s + 15: $72,740 - $105,924/yr
Master\'s + 30: $74,415 - $107,845/yr
Placement on salary scale is commensurate with years of experience in a relevant role
