We are proud to support an established and respected client to hire a collaborative Human Resources Generalist for their Texas corporate office. This role will support the US employee group and managers with a range of HR related tasks including employee relations, onboarding, investigations, data and reporting, along with special projects. As a North American construction and engineering firm, with over 30 years in business, and over 1,000 employees across Canada and the US, this is a high-impact role that provides opportunities for personal and professional growth within a supportive and tight-knit HR team.

What Will You Do?
Act as a primary point of contact for employee concerns and workplace matters
Support conflict resolution efforts and conduct investigations as required
Foster a positive workplace culture and support employee engagement initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
Support employee benefits enrollment and respond to related inquiries
Coordinate performance review cycles and documentation
Provide guidance to managers on employee development, coaching, and disciplinary actions
Track and support training and professional development programs
Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports (e.g., turnover, retention)
Contribute to special HR projects and initiatives as required
What Do You Bring?
Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related areas of study; SHRM/SPHR or pursuing is preferred
A minimum 3 years of experience in a broad-scope Human Resources role is required
Experience in the construction, engineering and/or other industrial setting is preferred
Experience in an evolving and fast-paced organization is required; proven ability to pivot to meet business needs and internal customer (manager) needs is required
Proven ability to build positive and reciprocal relationships with internal customers/stakeholders
Experience with HR administrative tasks such as data analytics and weekly reporting on metrics
Strong ability to work with diverse employee groups across the US is required
Strong computer skills: MS Office, HRIS, ATS; intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required
Highly reliable, detail-oriented, organized with the ability to work independently or in a team setting
Proactive and accountable with an ability to work effectively in a remote setting with little supervision
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle for occasional travel; ability to travel within the US occasionally may be required, as well as a passport to go to the Canadian office (1-2 times per year maximum)
