A well-established law firm is seeking a
General Liability Associate Attorney
to join its litigation team in Alabama. This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex litigation matters while representing both local and national clients. The role is ideal for a motivated litigator who is looking to grow within a collaborative and respected general liability practice.
Key Responsibilities
Manage general liability matters throughout the state of Alabama
Independently handle a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and expert depositions
Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial
Draft, review, and analyze discovery requests and responses
Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related filings
Handle court filings and service of documents, including e-filing
Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
Maintain accurate and timely billing records
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client objectives
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in one or more of the following areas:
General liability
Product liability
Premises liability
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active admission to practice in Alabama
Demonstrated experience with motion practice and depositions
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
Compensation
