
Welder / Pipefitter

TriplePoint Labs is seeking a skilled Welder / Pipe Fitter to support the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping systems and structural components in industrial and laboratory environments. This role requires a strong understanding of welding techniques, piping layouts, and safety standards, with a focus on precision, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Perform welding operations using processes such as TIG, MIG, and Stick (SMAW) on various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and specialty alloys
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems including fuel, water, gas, and process lines
Cut, thread, bend, and fit pipe using hand and power tools
Inspect welds and piping systems to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes
Work with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate installation and alignment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety policies
Troubleshoot and repair piping and welded components as needed
Document work performed and assist with quality control records
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
3+ years of experience in welding and pipe fitting in industrial, commercial, or laboratory settings
Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS)
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces as required
Preferred Certifications
OSHA 10 or 30 certification
ASME Section IX qualification (if applicable)
Combination of shop and field work
Exposure to industrial environments, including noise, heat, and confined spaces
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times
