Job Summary
This position will perform clinical assessments and interventions for patients presenting to the Emergency Department with behavioral health concerns. The role includes assessing admissions for behavioral health, engaging in discharge planning, and arranging referrals for appropriate aftercare services or the next level of care.
Responsibilities
Conduct clinical assessments and interventions for ED patients with behavioral health issues.
Assess patients for admission to behavioral health units.
Engage in discharge planning and coordinate aftercare services.
Schedule and refer patients to appropriate next-level care as needed.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members.
Shift and Schedule
Must be able to work three, 12‑hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Additional weekend and holiday duties may be required.
Physical Requirements
Occasional sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods; perform repetitive typing tasks; stand or walk while carrying objects up to 25 pounds; exposure to blood‑borne or airborne pathogens; exposure to combative or violent individuals.
Qualifications
Education : Master of Social Work (MSW); preference for candidates with a Master’s Degree in Social Work/LCSW.
Experience : 3 years required; 3+ years of behavioral health experience preferred.
License : Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
Skills : Experience with behavioral health assessments and care coordination.
