Responsibilities
The Program Therapist performs social service functions to assist clients in meeting their bio‑psycho‑social needs, enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve optimal emotional health. This includes providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. Clinical services include crisis intervention, individual therapy, short and/or long‑term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning. The Program Therapist is an integral member of the treatment team and is responsible for case management of consumers’ internal and external support systems.

The facility is dedicated to meeting the evolving emotional and behavioral healthcare needs of children, adolescents, adults, and their families.
Qualifications
Experience / Education
Master’s degree in a mental health/human services field is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a behavioral health care facility is preferred. Experience with family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills is preferred, with a majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population. Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.
Licensure / Certification
LCPC or LCSW required. Primary source verification will be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
Skills
Training in psychotherapy techniques, including CBT, DBT, and other evidence‑based models. Strong time‑management and experience completing therapeutic documentation.
