Full-Time Program Therapist
The Program Therapist performs social service functions to assist clients in meeting their bio‑psycho‑social needs. The role includes providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for consumers/families receiving care. Services encompass crisis intervention, individual therapy, short‑ and long‑term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning. The therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and manages case‑management of consumers and internal/external support systems.
Responsibilities
Assist clients to achieve optimal emotional health through therapeutic treatment skills, including providing basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services. Conduct crisis intervention, individual therapy, short‑ and long‑term family therapy, group therapy, treatment planning, and discharge planning. Serve as an integral member of the treatment team, managing case‑management of consumers and internal/external support systems.
License Required
LPC or LSW required. LCPC or LSW preferred. Primary source verification required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a mental health or human services field is required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills is preferred. Strong clinical assessment skills with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population.
Skills
Trained in psychotherapy techniques, providing therapy, training in evidence‑based models including CBT, DBT, etc. preferred.
Time management and experience completing therapeutic documentation.
