Pay or shift range: $118,000 USD to $130,000 USD. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
Description
You must be a nurse with proven capabilities in managing a team, scheduling employees, maintaining charts, overseeing medication administration and creating team member assignments. You must have a proven track record for inspiring and leading a unified, cohesive team in excelling for the good of the community. You will also support our Memory Care Department, which serves residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, and also falls within the purview of the Wellness Department under the administration of the DON and with the support of the Director of Memory Care, Wellness Secretary and Director of Case Management.
Additional responsibilities include:
Managing daily day operations for the Resident Health Services Department 24/7/365
Demonstrating skilled and confident leadership in hiring, training and scheduling team members
Developing and coordinating service plans
Conducting resident assessments, both on and off site, in conjunction with the Case Manager
Communicating with physicians, residents and families
Ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with the New York State Department of Health
Qualifications:
Must have an active New York State RN or LPN License
Knowledge of New York State Department of Health regulations for Adult Home or Enriched Housing is a huge plus
Four-plus (4+) years gerontological nursing and administration experience required
Excellent people skills and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences
Successful management or supervisory methodology with experience managing a department as well as interviewing, hiring, scheduling and training team members
Be a person of the utmost integrity, with an absolute commitment to resident care
Hold experience in assisted living, home health or a skilled nursing setting
Having a sense of humor, confidence and composure-under-pressure are key qualities that we look for!
