Role Description
Therapist Position Overview: Ellie currently has 2 positions open for an experienced therapist who specializes in complex, systemic, and acute trauma as well as traumatic loss. One position is located in our beautiful Southpark office and the other in our thriving Blakeney location. Practice Description
Ellie Mental Health is a team-based practice offering individual, family, couples, and group therapy to ages 7+ in the Charlotte community. We value diversity, humor, and authenticity, and we work collaboratively with clients and community providers to deliver personalized care.
Role Specifics
Position Responsibilities Include:
Conduct intakes/initial assessments and provide ongoing therapy to teens and adults
Maintain a caseload of a minimum of 25 client visits per week
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation, including treatment plans
Work with billing dept to maintain clean accounts for clients
Coordinate services with case managers, other providers, and school staff as needed
Provide exceptional customer service for clients
Participate in all staff meetings and mandatory trainings
Assist with the selection and onboarding of new therapists
Engage in networking/social, outreach, and community-based events to reduce mental health stigma in Charlotte
Maintain a peaceful and positive work environment
Required Qualifications and Skills
Candidates must be independently licensed as a LCSW, LCMHC, LMFT or an associate therapist in the state of NC
Clinicians with supervisory credentials are encouraged to apply (supervision pay available)
Out of state candidates must be within 30 days of receiving reciprocity in NC
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-graduation
Demonstrable experience in trauma-informed mental health care
Experience with assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
Proficiency with using EHRs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to demonstrate adaptability and solution-oriented thinking
Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Basic knowledge of insurance billing
Knowledge of community resources and willingness to engage with Ellie\'s preferred providers
Proficient in Office 365
Current or previous credentialing with insurance panels is preferable but not required
LGBTQIA+ and/or First Responder/Veteran experience is valued
What Else You Should Know
This position is located in greater Charlotte, NC (Southpark, Blakeney) with an expected start date of late June 2026 (partially dependent on credentialing process).
Our clinics offer in person and telehealth options to clients. This position will be under the direction of the Clinical Manager.
Salary range: full-time (25+/wk), independently licensed clinician: approximately $70,000-$86,000 per year (dependent on weekly caseload). For an associate clinician: approximately $61,000-$75,000 per year (dependent on weekly caseload).
