Title: Press Operator
Department: Rubber
Shift: 2nd shift 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; Monday - Fridays, but will work Saturdays continuously for the majority of the year
Summary
Responsible for inserting a rubber preform (uncured rubber) into a press, removing the hot cured rubber and hand trimming the waste by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Will need to read and understand a schedule while using a computer interface to record production
Preform and understand critical quality checks and be able to accurately measure specifications
Will need to insert and remove rubber weighting 15 pounds into a press that is 300 degrees Fahrenheit
Need to trim and hand stack cured tile ? Will need to preform quality check before and after the material is cured
Will need strong communication skills, a teamwork mindset and be able to work in tandem with another associate
Operator must rotate positions with the Waterjet Operator, Tile Punch Press Operator, and Refining Mill
Overtime is/may be required.
Other duties as assigned.

Operator must understand and follow 5S and good housekeeping in their respective areas
Must adhere to all safety policies within Mannington, The Rubber Plant and specific to job being preformed
Operators will Clean their equipment throughout the shift and at shutdowns
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
