
Diesel Mechanic in Romulus

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Pro Truss and Panel, LLC. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing inspections and completing preventive maintenance schedules on semi-trucks and equipment.

Job Duties
Perform inspections on semi-trucks and equipment
Complete preventive maintenance schedules
Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical troubleshooting, steering and cooling systems
Perform truck and trailer annual inspections
Perform repairs such as wiring, lighting, brakes, suspension, and others
Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
Keep shop equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
Keep supplies and parts ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt
Enhance maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Maintain a clean organized work area
Build positive relationships with truck drivers and vendor contacts
Skills and Requirements
Must have 1 year of heavy truck repair experience
Strong troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail oriented
Good communication skills
Ability to work in fast paced environment
Driver's License
Clean driving record
Skilled in welding
