Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM — 2:30 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join a high‑quality fabrication team focused on precision weldments and structural components. In this role, you will fit, position, and weld fabricated plates and assemblies according to detailed engineering drawings. The ideal candidate has strong stainless steel TIG experience, excellent blueprint interpretation skills, and a commitment to quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
This position involves both TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and other materials, producing components that meet strict dimensional, quality, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to plan and execute welding operations
Determine proper welding methods, equipment, and sequence of work based on specifications
Lay out, fit, tack, weld, and flatten parts to meet dimensional tolerances
Set up and operate TIG and MIG welding equipment
Develop and use fixtures, templates, and work aids to align and support parts during welding
Inspect welds and finished components for quality, defects, and conformance to specifications
Measure components using tools such as calipers, straightedges, rulers, and squares
Complete redlines and engineering request forms when clarification or design changes are needed
Collaborate with team members to resolve fit‑up or fabrication challenges
Accurately track time for production reporting
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Properly use and care for tools, equipment, and machinery
Meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
Required Qualifications
5 years of TIG welding experience
Proven experience welding stainless steel
Strong blueprint reading skills, including welding symbols and specifications
Solid knowledge of TIG and MIG welding processes
High attention to detail with the ability to meet production deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic English communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working on your feet for 8 hours per day
Preferred / Additional Skills
TIG and MIG welding on sheet metal and fabricated assemblies
Experience with fabrication layout and fitting
Sheet metal fabrication experience
Ability to pass a TIG weld test demonstrating quality and proficiency
Comfortable working with fabrication machinery in a production environment
