Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to perform a variety of welding duties using techniques such as MIG, TIG, Wire Welding, Spot Welding, and oxy/acetylene torch. The ideal candidate will clean and dress welds, set up and lay out work using material handling equipment or hand layouts, and fabricate or rework finished products.
Responsibilities
Perform welding duties using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and more.
Clean and dress welds as required.
Set up and lay out work using material handling equipment or hand layouts.
Manually set up hand-held sanders, grinders, wire wheels, or other finishing hand-held tools.
Weld I-Beam, Frame, and Fuel Tanks in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Clamp, hold, tack weld, drill, mill, tap, cut, and/or bolt together components for complete welding.
Inspect products, equipment, and tools for defects and malfunctions.
Create quality welds according to blueprints/specifications.
Inspect all welds and rework as necessary.
Change wire and gas on welding machines as needed.
Ensure equipment is properly set up and used safely.
Maintain welding equipment and machines, and request maintenance as needed.
Assist and participate in fuel tank pressure testing and rework as necessary.
Perform work to timely standards and quality expectations.
Account for time and work completed through weekly timesheets.
Report and document material, production, quality, or safety issues to management.
Show flexibility and responsiveness with strong teamwork orientation.
Willingness to cross-train and perform other job tasks in addition to primary duties.
Essential Skills
1-3 years of welding experience.
Skill in the use and care of equipment and tools.
Basic mathematical skills and knowledge in measurement tools.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Proficiency in MIG welding.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
MIG Welding Certification preferred.
TIG Welding Certification is a plus.
Vocational or prior welding education is a plus.
Knowledge in using basic hand tools.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Safety-conscious behavior.
Ability to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow instructions, and demonstrate problem‑solving skills.
Work Environment
The work environment involves providing environmental and sound attenuating packaging for on‑site power generation and ancillary equipment. The company offers a range of packaging solutions from factory‑like packaging to heavy‑duty industrial environment‑ready units and fueling systems.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
