Position: Civil Engineer
As a Civil Engineer at Atwell, your role will be dynamic and multifaceted, providing expertise in residential, commercial, and/or industrial land development. You will be responsible for ensuring project success across multiple domains.
Key Responsibilities
Site Plan Excellence:
Draft preliminary and final site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring precision and adherence to industry standards.
Data Analysis:
Dive into project survey data to assess existing site conditions, considering legal descriptions, ALTA surveys, easement documents, and condo documents.
Comprehensive Reporting:
Prepare a variety of reports, opinions, and recommendations vital for project direction, including hydrology/hydraulic studies, due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer's opinion of probable costs, project schedules, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm sewer reports, local and state permit applications, stormwater reports, soils reports, earthwork volume calculations, StormCAD reports, WaterCAD reports, and preliminary grading.
Construction Support:
Offer construction-related services such as permit applications, cut sheets, quantity estimates, and transmittals; organize site plans, construction plans, and documents under guidance of senior staff.
Engineering Software Mastery:
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software packages to complete assignments efficiently, aligning with established standards.
Effective Communication:
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with staff, ensuring seamless project coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
5+ years of experience
AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, StormCAD, and SewerCAD preferred
