2-3 weeks, Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Position Purpose
Register OB ED department patients, collect copayments, and gather all patient demographic information, including accurate insurance and liability data.
What You Will Do
Pre‑registration of patient admissions
Obtain approvals and on‑site payments
Explain insurance and private pay liabilities and refer patients requiring financial counseling
Enter and update all patient demographic information, including insurance and liability, post payments to appropriate screen, and complete reconciliation reports
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred
Position Highlights and Benefits
Monday-through-Friday, 40 hours per week, evenings 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
Training / Orientation: 2‑3 weeks, Monday-to-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including time in Springfield, MA; third week required if new hire has less than 1 year of registration experience
