Support For Human Resources Department
Provides support to the Human Resources Department, specifically in the area of classified staff. The position also assists the Department with data collection, entry, processing, and reporting, as required by district and state policies and procedures.
Reports to: Human Resources Coordinator
Terms of Employment: 240 days per year, 8 hours per day, Non-Exempt
Salary: FMSD (S2) Salary Schedule. Initial placement on the salary schedule is based on a formula considering experience and education.
Duties:
Coordinates and supports the onboarding process for classified employees
Processes the separation of classified employees
Processes and maintains databases for the position control of employee groups
Generates/issues letters of intent and work agreements
Maintains ongoing communication with principals, directors, and supervisors regarding staffing
Processes verification of employment and experience
Conducts background checks for employees and volunteers, discusses results with HR supervisors as needed, and follows up with applicants for employment
Prepares notification to the Benefits Office of any new hires and separations
Submits Personnel Action Requests (PARs) for all employees in these groups regarding employee status changes in a timely manner
Maintains ongoing communication with the payroll department
Maintains and supports the operation of the employee identification badge system (creates new employee badges, replacement badges, and inactivates employee badges)
Collaborates and supports Human Resources, team members
Provides coverage for the District Office receptionist as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required
Bachelor's Degree in a related area preferred
Recent experience in a professional office environment, preferably in Human Resources and/or an educational setting
Excellent professional references
Technology proficiency required (Microsoft Office Suite experience a must)
Strong experience with Excel spreadsheets and maintaining databases
Ability to multitask effectively while demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills, professional work ethic, polished, positive demeanor, and team-oriented
Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of non-certificated personnel.
