CDL Equipment Operator / Vac Truck Operator

Winter Environmental is seeking a CDL equipment operator to support industrial and environmental projects across the Southeast.
This is a field-based position focused primarily on operating hydro-vac and air mover equipment on active job sites. CDL driving and transporting equipment will be performed as needed to support project operations, but this is not an over-the-road trucking position.
We are looking for dependable, safety-driven individuals who are comfortable working around equipment, construction sites, and industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities

Operate hydro-vac and air mover equipment on active job sites
Perform potholing, excavation support, debris removal, and material conveyance
Assist with equipment setup, operation, and breakdown
Support daily field operations alongside project crews and supervision
Safely operate CDL Class A or B vehicles
Transport vac trucks, air movers, and support equipment to and from project sites as needed
Occasionally move equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, generators, or trailers
Properly secure equipment and loads using chains, binders, and straps
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance
Assist with project mobilization and demobilization
Maintain equipment cleanliness and operational readiness
Work safely and professionally in industrial, commercial, and construction environments
Required Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A or B license
Clean driving record
Experience hauling equipment and/or trailers
Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement
Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and DOT requirements
Willingness to travel as needed for project work
Strong work ethic and ability to work in active field environments
Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating hydro-vac or vacuum excavation equipment
Experience with air mover systems
Experience operating skid steers or mini excavators
Background in environmental, industrial, utility, demolition, or construction work
