Accounts Payable Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial operations by researching and coding vendor invoices, reconciling processed work, and ensuring accurate payments to vendors. You will also be responsible for addressing payment discrepancies and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
Research and code a high volume of vendor invoices in a paperless SharePoint system.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system report compensation schedules to balances due.
Monitor discount opportunities and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies to ensure timely vendor payments.
Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos and balances due by vendors.
Correct job cost errors by creating memos to rectify any errors identified during month-end reviews.
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling weekly/monthly statements and related transactions.
Research and address open activity contained on vendor aging statements.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries and needs.
Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
Support the accounting and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred or a high school diploma with accounting experience.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office, with an ability to learn internal computer programs.
Willingness to take on additional projects and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Capacity to adapt and learn in a changing environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
