About the Role
The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) team is seeking a
Data Platform Analyst
to support a high-impact initiative focused on enabling trusted, well-governed data across the organization.
This role sits at the intersection of
business, product, and engineering , helping translate stakeholder needs into clear requirements, structured processes, and reusable documentation that supports platform adoption and operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Stakeholder Engagement & Analysis
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, pain points, and use cases
Support discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews
Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and product inputs
Process & Workflow Design
Document current and future state processes across data intake, governance, and platform usage
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for standardization
Develop process maps, workflows, SOPs, and decision frameworks
Documentation & Knowledge Management
Create and maintain:
Requirements documentation
Process guides and SOPs
Decision logs and meeting summaries
Knowledge base content and reusable templates
Improve organization, accessibility, and usability of documentation across the platform
Product & Platform Support
Support backlog organization, prioritization, and tracking
Coordinate across product, engineering, governance, and business teams
Assist in roadmap planning, sprint support, and stakeholder updates
What We're Looking For
Required Experience
5+ years of experience in:
Business Analysis
Product / Program Analysis
Product Operations or Technology Delivery Support
Strong experience gathering and documenting requirements, processes, and workflows
Proven ability to translate complex discussions into clear, structured outputs
Experience with tools such as Jira, SharePoint, Visio, or similar
Core Strengths
Excellent written communication and documentation skills
Strong organizational and analytical mindset
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams
Detail-oriented with a focus on clarity, structure, and usability
Nice to Have
Experience supporting data platforms, analytics environments, or cloud-based systems
Familiarity with data governance, data access workflows, or metadata management
Exposure to Agile methodologies, backlog management, and sprint planning
Experience in federal, financial, or regulated environments
Additional Requirements
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must be able to work onsite in Washington, DC
