Chemical Operator
Join a dynamic team dedicated to manufacturing coatings for optical fibers. With the rise of 5G, we are busier than ever, producing both flexible, rubber-like coatings and harder protective shells.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret batch sheets to ensure accurate production.
Prepare paperwork and coordinate with the laboratory for quality assurance.
Stage materials required for production processes.
Transport and handle drums and cans containing raw materials.
Operate mixers and pumps to blend and process materials.
Add pigments to materials to achieve desired colors.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals.
Essential Skills
Minimum of one year experience in handling chemicals, including batching and mixing.
Proficiency in reading batch tickets and basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to handle and transport materials using forklifts (forklift license required).
Familiarity with drum and can handling, weighing, running mixes, pumps, and filtration.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Preferred safety certifications such as CPR or Hazmat.
Experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, or food and beverage industries.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong organizational skills and punctuality.

Work Environment
Work in a large, indoor facility located in Norcross, GA, within the OFS building. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays and potential overtime of up to 8 hours a week. Enjoy a structured workday with a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute paid breaks. Please note the no phone policy and be prepared to lift up to 40 pounds. The workplace is organized to prioritize safety and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
