Position Overview
This position supports and leads the technical operation of gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems across a large semiconductor manufacturing campus. The technician will function as a subject matter expert (SME), ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of over 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment, while also supporting logistics, inventory, and material movement.
Key Responsibilities
Support and troubleshoot gas, chemical, and slurry systems in a wafer fabrication environment
Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and system troubleshooting
Execute cylinder and drum changes for gas and chemical systems
Assist with installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of equipment
Ensure compliance with operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
Support emergency response operations
Write, edit, and execute maintenance and operational procedures
Drive a zero safety and quality incident culture
Support operations across multiple buildings and systems
Perform inventory management, chemical deliveries, and material handling
Utilize pallet jacks and material handling equipment
Required Qualifications
Experience with gas or chemical systems in a semiconductor wafer fabrication environment
Strong understanding of gas/chemical applications and emergency response
Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
Experience supporting preventative maintenance and system operations
Ability to safely handle hazardous chemicals and gases
Comfortable working with PPE and respirator requirements
Ability to lift 20+ lbs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with: EMD Electronics systems, Applied Energy Systems, Air Liquide systems
Forklift experience (certification preferred)
Experience with barcode/inventory tracking systems
Work Environment
Exposure to chemicals requiring PPE and strict safety protocols
Requires respirator use
Requires standard physical exam
