Urgently hiring Welders in Salem! Job Title: Welder/Fabricator/Shop Helper Pay: $22 - $25 per hour Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm Start Date: ASAP Looking for a hands-on role in a growing fabrication company? As a Welder/Fabricator/Shop Helper, you'll support daily production activities, ensure high-quality craftsmanship, and help maintain a safe, efficient workspace. You'll work closely with the shop team and foreman to meet project deadlines while maintaining company standards and safety procedures.
What You'll Do Coordinate with the shop foreman to plan daily production tasks and prioritize jobs effectively. Prepare raw materials and cut parts accurately using CNC equipment and other fabrication tools. Assemble components by welding or bolting, ensuring durable and high-quality results. Clean, finish, and package completed units for shipment while meeting quality standards. Operate vacuum molding equipment and fabricate plastic parts as needed. Utilize forklifts to load and unload materials and finished products safely. Keep detailed records of manufacturing and quality procedures by completing logs accurately. Assist with additional production tasks and equipment maintenance as assigned.
What You'll Bring At least 1 year of MIG welding experience; TIG welding skills are a plus. Experience with plastic vacuum molding or related plastic fabrication. Forklift certification or experience preferred. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong organizational abilities, a sense of urgency, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team. High school diploma or equivalent; technical welding certification is advantageous.
