Our Lawrence Kansas pharmaceutical client is seeking a highly organized and serviceoriented professional to support daily operations at their research facility. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors and vendors while ensuring efficient coordination of all shipping, receiving, and facilities activities.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving
Manage all incoming and outgoing shipments, including lab materials, office supplies, and equipment
Receive, inspect, log, and distribute packages
Prepare shipping documentation and ensure proper packaging and labeling
Track shipments and maintain accurate delivery records
Coordinate with vendors, couriers, and internal teams to resolve issues
Support invoice and packing slip verification for procurement
Reception & Visitor Management

Greet and check in visitors, vendors, and contractors
Manage visitor badges and coordinate access with internal hosts
Answer and direct incoming calls and general inquiries
Security & Access Support

Assist with access control processes and vendor access coordination
Help monitor building cameras and entry points
Communicate access or safety concerns to facilities or security teams
Facilities Support

Assist with minor facilities tasks and general workplace upkeep
Support office and commonarea organization
Coordinate vendor services, deliveries, and facilityrelated requests
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of experience in reception, shipping/receiving, facilities, or similar operations
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic office/shipping systems
Ability to lift and move packages up to approximately 40 lbs
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a laboratory, research, or life sciences environment
Familiarity with FedEx, UPS, DHL, or freight logistics
Experience with visitor management or access control systems
Strong customer service mindset and proactive problemsolving approach
Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
Location: Onsite in Lawrence, KS 66044

Schedule: Standard hours

Pay range: $20-$22/hour
