District Secretary/Receptionist
Lampeter-Strasburg School District is seeking a district secretary/receptionist. This is a full-time, 12-month secretarial position working 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., anticipated to begin July 1, 2026. As the first point of contact for the district administration building, the successful candidate will provide essential clerical support while maintaining a positive and professional environment for employees and the public.
Key responsibilities include serving as the primary receptionist, greeting visitors, operating the district switchboard, and managing incoming/outgoing mail. The candidate will lead the annual census collection, updating and maintaining the census system and generating necessary reports. They will also manage facility usage requests and assist various departments including human resources, business office, and transportation.
Qualifications and skills include a minimum of five years of secretarial experience or advanced clerical coursework. Competence in computer operations, specifically Microsoft Office and Google applications, as well as familiarity with scheduling software is required. Superior organizational skills, high accuracy in recordkeeping, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality are also necessary.
