Operations Associate - Job Description

Overview
The Operations Associate is responsible for reviewing incoming documentation, assessing accuracy and completeness, and making timely, well-informed decisions that move work efficiently to the next stage of the process. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational accuracy, quality, and productivity.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a consistent focus on meeting daily quality and productivity standards in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Review and evaluate incoming documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines.
Create and maintain accurate application or policy records within their systems.
Make timely decisions to route work to the appropriate next step based on documented procedures.
Perform high-volume data entry with a high degree of accuracy while meeting productivity expectations.
Follow established procedures for processing annuity applications and related operational workflows.
Identify missing or outstanding information and initiate follow-up requests as needed.
Communicate proactively with management regarding issues, trends, risks, or opportunities for process improvement.
Participate in team collaboration, problem-solving, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Adapt to new responsibilities, workflow changes, and evolving business needs.
Effectively manage time and work environment to minimize distractions and maintain consistent productivity.

High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
(Military experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.)
Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience required; experience in financial services or annuities preferred
Demonstrated ability to work independently, remain focused, and consistently meet daily production and quality metrics
Strong attention to detail with the ability to navigate multiple administrative systems
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain processes and escalate issues appropriately
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers a

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of West Des Moines, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
