The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who is a critical thinker and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job Title: Slitter Machine Operator Pay rate: $18.00/hr. Schedule: Monday
Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) + OT as needed
Responsibilities:
Operate slitting machines including set-up, operation, and change over.
Ensure strict adherence to all Health and Safety protocols.
Monitor machine status and communicate issues to Supervisor in a timely manner.
Perform routine Quality Control Checks.
Maintain accurate and legible documentation.
Perform daily audits and accountable for quality.
Machine troubleshooting and routine cleaning/maintenance.
Requirements:
Previous production/manufacturing experience required
Previous slitter or converting experience preferred but not required
Experience using and troubleshooting PLC-operated machines a plus
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Must have a good command of the English language
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Moderate physical exertion caused by repetitive handling of thermal ribbons: standing, stooping, bending, reaching.
Must possess positive interpersonal skills to perform effectively in a team environment
Must possess ability to work at a rapid pace.
Ability to understand, follow, and apply operational and technical instruction, written and verbal
Ability to solve basic math (addition/subtraction/multiplication/division)
All candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and background check as a condition of employment.
